Pant may take a year to recover: Expert said – Knee, ankle and wrist are important in wicketkeeping, there are injuries… it will be difficult

  Rishabh Pant, who was dropped from the T20 and ODI team against Sri Lanka 3 days ago, has suffered another setback.  Pant met with a major accident on Thursday night.  He has got injuries at 5 places.  These include forehead, wrist of right hand, knee, ankle and thumb of right leg.  Knee, ankle and wrist injuries are important because the use of these areas is crucial for wicketkeeping. We spoke to experts to know the seriousness of the injury and its impact on his career.  We learned from former international wicket-keeper Naman Ojha and sports medicine expert how serious Pant's injury is and when he will be able to return to the field. Experts say, '  During wicketkeeping, there is maximum movement in the knee, ankle and wrist.  In that case it would be difficult.  By when he will be able to make a comeback, it can be accurately estimated only by looking at the MRI report.  Recovery may take a year.
